A few weeks ago Shane and I visited the National Trust house of Anglesey Abbey. I absolutely love visiting places like this (Shane not so much). It’s so interesting to see the way people used to live back then (besides who can resist the amazing decor?!). It was such a perfect day too, and I think Shane may have actually enjoyed himself haha! The mill was my favourite though – it’s still fully operational and you can even go to the top and see it all working (though my outfit choice was a bad decision for the almost vertical ladders to get up there so we didn’t venture up there hehe). We did buy some of the wholewheat flour which was milled earlier that morning (which we’re still yet to use, but I can imagine how good it tastes!
Hi! I'm April and this is my little space to share our adventures through the UK, travels across the world, love of cooking and everything else in between (and sometimes, my crazy cat lady tendencies)!
All of my photos are taken by me unless otherwise stated. If you would like to use my photos anywhere else, all I ask is that you state where you got the image (aprileveryday) provide a link back to my blog (www.aprileveryday.com), and if you're feeling super nice, let me know in an e-mail :)
