The weekend after we visited Cambridge, we decided to visit Oxford too as they’re ‘rival’ cities through their universities. We got there around lunchtime and went for some lunch then took a wander through the city centre down to the river. We were actually hoping to get a punt like we did in Cambridge, but apparently their punting isn’t as famous as Cambridge and we could only find a hire place – but we didn’t fancy that, so instead we took a little walk by the river and sat under the trees for a while in the shade, before heading back to the car. It was a pretty good day out in all and a nice city to walk around, but I don’t think we’ll be visiting again anytime soon.
